Crisis Counselor & PBIS/MTSS Specialist
Job Description:
The NUES Crisis Response, MTSS/PBIS, and School Counseling Programs Specialist supports schools and districts with a variety of requests. The main responsibility is to support students, staff and schools before, during and after an event that may disrupt the learning outcomes of students. Professional development for emotional and mental health awareness, PBIS structures, MTSS, educator self-care, and many other topics are provided.
- Crisis response planning and intervention
- MTSS (social-emotional learning, academics, positive behavior supports, etc.)
- School counseling program supports and mentoring
- Staff and faculty professional development
Educational Background:
- Admin Endorsement – Educational Leadership, BYU
- M.Ed – School Counseling, University of Utah
- BA – Early Childhood Education and Psychology, Westminster
Occupational/Industry Experience:
- Northeastern Utah Educational Services – Crisis Counselor
- Jordan School District- Early Prevention Program Specialist
- Utah State Board of Education – School Counseling Specialist
- Wasatch School District – Educator and School Counselor
